We accept (post-) graduate students working towards Masters or Ph.D. degrees, but we usually admit some advanced undergraduates, as well as researchers and practitioners. All applicants should be fluent in English.

Please download the application form and attach a short bio, a letter of recommendation and a copy of university transcripts in English (or Greek). Non-academic applicants should provide instead of a transcript a full description of their job / research position.

The non-refuntable registration fee has to be paid by 31 May 2020.

According to the cycle you have chosen, you can either pay the tuition and board charges together with the registration fee in advance, or you can pay the tuition and board charges in cash directly when you arrive in Nafplio.

Both registration fee and tuition fee have to be payed in Euros.

Of course you can and we strongly encourage you to do so! In that case you automatically become eligible to apply for a scholarship and you do NOT have to pay the registration fee twice.

No. All participants are traveling to and from Athens International Airport on their own expenses.

If it is absolutely necessary, yes you can. However you have to keep in mind that you have to come to/leave Nafplio on your own expenses and inform us in advance. The best way is to take the public bus transportation system. Please have a look at the next question.

The only way to reach Nafplio on your own is by public bus transportation (KTEL). The buses leave from Athens coach station Kifissos and will bring you to Nafplio (Please check out the timetable).

Athens is always worth a stay. There are plenty of hotels. If you need any help organizing your accommodation please contact us.

Yes you can bring your partner. However the OSA does not pay for his/her accommodation. Please make sure that you inform the Coordination team in advance.

Greece is a member of the European Union and a Schengen country. Participants from other EU countries do not need a visa for Greece. Please have a look at the website of the Greek embassy in your country for further visa information.

Get in contact with the Greek embassy in your country, they will provide you with all the information needed. If needed the OSA will provide all admitted foreign students the necessary documentation in support of a visa application.

The address of the Olympia Summer Academy’s venue is: Hotel Elena, 17 Sidiras Merarchias St., Nafplio, Argolida 211 00, Greece.

Nafplio is hot in the summer and quite humid. Make sure you dress lightly, cover your head, drink a lot of water and juices and eat lightly. Bring sun and mosquito lotion with you. Also, a swimming suit as we will be going often to the beach.

Casual and summery. Please make sure that you dress lightly according to the hot weather and the high humidity of Nafplio.

If you suffer from a medical condition or an allergy please make sure you let us know in advance. But you don’t have to worry, there is a fully equipped hospital in Nafplio.

Yes there are single rooms available. Please let us know as early as possible if you desire a single occupancy room, at the cost of the extra fee of 50 euros/night, since availability is extremely limited. You can pay the additional single room costs directly to us in cash upon arrival.

There is a Wi-Fi connection all over the Hotel. Please bring your laptops with you, as access to the internet will be important for your homework.
